Local Classes in TN
We work with local parents, homeschool groups, after-school programs, and community arts centers to provide on-location woodworking classes for kids.
If you are interested in scheduling one of the classes below, please contact us to set up a class location and date. One-time workshops are also available.
Class Descriptions:
In these hands-on classes, students will be guided through the safe and effective use of hand tools to build their own woodworking projects.
Each project gradually introduces new challenges, as students develop confidence with different tools and techniques. Projects are adapted for the age and ability of the learners.
The curriculum provides novel and engaging opportunities for students to learn skills related to math (measuring, geometry), science (physics, botany), and art (drawing, painting, sculpting), while increasing independence and creative problem solving skills.

"Little House" Woodworking
Ages: 3-12 years
Experience Level: Beginner
Class Duration: 1 hour
Course Length: 1-6 weeks
In these classes, inspired by the Little House in the Big Woods and Farmer Boy books by Laura Ingalls Wilder, enjoy hands-on opportunities to learn skills related to math, science, art, history, and literature.
Students are guided through the safe and effective use of woodworking hand tools to create multi-media projects inspired by the Little House books. This fun, back-to-basics program helps children learn and appreciate some of the basic skills that people used in the Victorian Era. Projects are adapted for the age and ability of the learners.
